England Thrash Pakistan In T20 World Cup 2022 Finals

The final match and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 title decider between Pakistan and England is played at Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground.

England won the toss and opted to bowl first. At Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Pakistan batted first. But the Pakistan batsmen did not show much impact while batting. Masood is the only batsman who scored 38 runs apart from Captain Babar Azam’s 32 runs.

No other batsman scored an innings that would have challenged England’s batsmen. Pakistan in the allotted 20 overs managed to score only 137 runs by losing 8 wickets. English bowler Sam Curran took 3 wickets for just 12 runs in his 4 overs quota. Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan took 2 wickets each in their allotted 4 overs. Stokes claimed 1 wicket.

Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2022 first semi-finals while England defeated India in the second T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals quite comfortably. But Pakistan failed to show the same performance in the T20 World Cup final match against England.
