Queen Elizabeth II is no more and her death will bring many changes to Britain’s National Anthem, currency, passport, and many more as King Charles III becomes the king.
Though these changes have not been announced officially by the British government, these changes have been followed over the decades as a tradition.
The demise of Queen Elizabeth II crowned Charles Philip Arthur George as the King of the UK. He can choose from any of his four names. He chose to be known as King Charles III.
Charles will be officially proclaimed King on Saturday. This will happen at St James’s Palace in London, in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council.
Charles has become head of the Commonwealth, an association of 56 independent countries and 2.4 billion people. For 14 of these countries, as well as the UK, the King is head of state. Charles’ wife, Camilla, will have a new title “Queen Consort”.

These countries, known as the Commonwealth realms are Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, St Christopher and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu.
New Currency
For the past 1100 years, The Royal Mint is releasing the currency for Britain. All the currencies and coins are brought into circulation with either king’s or queen’s posters on them. The printing of either King or Queen’s posters on the currency is a tradition that is being followed for the past 300 years.
Now, as King Charles III has taken over the crown, the further currency will be with his pictures. There are also a few changes on the currency notes. To date, Queen Elizabeth’s picture was placed on the right side of the currency notes. But the new currency notes will have the picture of King Charles III on the left side.
Since 1952, the Bank of England has released all the currency notes and coins containing Queen Elizabeth’s picture.
New National Anthem
For the past 70 years, all the Britain citizens were singing the National anthem that emphasizes “God saves the queen”. But now, as King Charles III is crowned as the monarch of Great Britain, the anthem will have the wording “God saves the king”. New Zealand has the same National Anthem, which also gets changed from now to the latest. Canada and Australia have the same anthem as the National Song. Even in these countries, the changes will take place.
New British Passports
The British Passports will also get updates by replacing Queen Elizabeth’s name with King Charles III’s name. The passports of New Zealand, Australia, and Canada will also have the same changes.
New Postal Stamps
The changes will occur in the UK’s postal stamps as well as the Police caps where the symbol of the Queen’s pic will be replaced with the King’s.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there is a big discussion as to who will wear the Queen’s crown next. The Indian origin and the world’s costliest diamond is embosed in the Queen’s platinum crown that was made in the year 1935. It is to be remembered that during the Platinum jubilee function held in view of Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years regime, she declared Camilla as her successor. Earlier there were surveys that reflect that there is no acceptance for Camilla as the next Queen among the majority of people in the UK.
