Trump administration from day 1 has opposed Obama’s Visa Policies. This can be a major set back especially for Indian and Chinese citizens.
Trump has announced on Friday that his government is planning to introduce a new Visa policy that will be acceptable to all. But many fear that millions of International students who have already enrolled in many institutions across the U.S. will get affected by the new proposal.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has already announced that it would strip the Visa of foreign students whose classes are online. Coronavirus has helped Trump administration to implement his intentions.

DCCA (Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals Programme) is a policy that aims the children of those who have come with their parents and living in the U.S illegally. Obama’s administration has granted legal status and protection for them on humanitarian grounds. But Trump has opposed it and during his election campaign also he emphasised that it will be revoked once after coming to power.
But his trails were lashed out by the U.S Supreme Court. The top court has criticized Trump administration’s idealogy and methodology to withdraw the DCCA. Now, to put the procedure to sideline DCCA has been changed. Trump has announced a new policy that will not only take care of DCCA but also border security and skilled based permanent Visas.
Earlier, Trump announced that he is ready to have a dialogue with U.S. Congress members related to H1B, H2B, L1, and L2 Visas which were halted till December 2020 on account of COVID-19 pandemic. Greencards issuance were also stopped.
During his last time elections campaign, Trump has chosen to attract unemployed U.S. citizens in the name of Visa regularization. Many political analysts think that again for the second time Trump is playing the same cards to win.
