The Indian UV giant, Mahindra is planning to launch a new SUV in the Indian Automobile market. Mahindra XUV700 is teasing automobile lovers for quite some time.
Mahindra XUV700 will be the brand’s flagship offering some new features and will be launched soon in the Indian market.
As of now some of the leaked news suggest that the upcoming Mahindra SUV will provide extra illumination in the dark environments while driving over 80 kmph speed. The new XUV700 will be fitted with auto booster headlamps.
Moreover, it comes with a panoramic sunroof, pop-out smart door handles, and driver drowsiness detection. Also, expect the XUV700 to get a superior AWD system than that seen on the outgoing XUV500.

The interiors will have a dual-screen layout – one for the infotainment and one of the instrument cluster (akin to the setup seen in some Mercedes models), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, automatic climate control, an electronic parking brake, hill hold (for the automatic variant), various drive modes.
Coming to the exterior design, XUV700 will have all-new stylings like distinct shoulder lines and overall silhouettes. Also, a new and more upright grille, new C-shaped headlights with unique LED DRLs, new taillights, new alloy wheel design and restyled bonnet, bumpers, and tailgate. An interesting change is door handles which will sport flush-mounted levers that will give a more modern look.
Mahindra XUV700 is likely to get 2 engine powertrain options – 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel.
The 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol engine is expected to develop around 190 Hp whereas the 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel engine will have a peak power output of more than 150 Hp.
Both the engine choices will have transmission options of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
Apart from the existing and the mentioned features, Mahindra XUV700 will have some first-in-segment features.
Another aspect of the indigenous brand is its new logo. The new logo looks like an upper case ‘M’. It looks much simpler and more elegant than the outgoing logo. The outgoing logo was adopted officially in the year 2002, with the launch of first-gen Scorpio. The new logo is set to make its debut with the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 SUV.
It is to be remembered that the new-gen Mahindra Thar which was launched last year turned out to be a huge success. Recently, Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo, which comes with a lot of segment-first features.
Mahindra XUV700 is expected to launch by October 2021. The XUV700 will compete with the 3-row SUVs like MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.
