On Sunday fresh clashes between Pro-Democracy protestors and Police erupted resulting violence in Hong Kong.
This time the protestors have targeted several shopping malls which supported China. The violence took place in the eastern part of Taikoo Shing province. Reports suggest that initially the protestors started demonstration peacefully by forming a human chain. But once the police and pro-democracy protestors came face to face, the clashes started. In these clashes 2 people got injured and are in critical condition.
The state run Xinhua news agency building also got damaged as the protestors turned violent on Saturday during the demonstrations. The state media published reports to act tougher against the protests to end the unrest in Hong Kong.

Apart from this, metro stations and outlets of U.S coffee chain star-bucks were set to fire. Also, one of the politician was attacked with a knife which resulted in serious injury around his ear.
However, the police have not furnished the details about the injured. Protestors were demanding an independent enquiry into police actions during the ongoing protests. On the other hand, Hong Kong police blame the pro-democracy protestors for damaging and weakening the city law.
For the past 5 months the unrest in Hong Kong has become a challenging task for the Chinese President Xi Jinping sine he took over the power in the year 2012.
On one hand China has its own plans to curb the unrest in Hong Kong and on the other hand it is repeatedly aiming the US and Britain for this unrest. Hong Kong’s economy has also got affected due the pro0democracy protests. Recent financial reports suggest that recession has started in the country. Tourism and foreign investment have also diminished. As a result the economic growth has paralyzed.
