India being the world’s second-largest Internet market, Amazon and Airtel have joined hands to step into the cloud services business.
On Wednesday, India’s third-largest telecom operator, Bharati AirTel and the e-commerce giant Amazon which leads the AWS cloud market have announced a partnership.

Airtel has over 300 million users in India which will add to Amazon’s AWS wide range of cloud brand offerings. This will definitely add a factor that helps to dominate the Indian cloud brand market by Amazon.
In recent times a similar deal to place between Reliance Jio and Google which aims at clod based marketing. The partnership between them has raised more than $20 billion funds for the Reliance Jio from Google.
Similarly, Microsoft and Facebook have come together which targetted small businesses. The 10-year partnership is expected to serve millions of small businesses and customers.

Airtel serves over 2,500 large enterprises and more than 1 million new and emerging businesses.
In 2015, Airtel and Amazon have signed an agreement which helped in building new services and helped customers to migrate to Airtel cloud. Apart from this, Airtel has also partnered with Google with a similar deal to facilitate the cloud business in January 2020 which is still active and live.
A decade ago, tech giants had dealt with carriers to stockpile users in the country. The same strategy is being implemented now to capture the cloud business which is luring the tech giants as the Indians are in a phase of cloud business adoption.
Already, small and medium business merchants along with the customers have begun using digital tools in storing data, services and online payments.
