Hinduja Group’s flagship Ashok Leyland company has announced the launch of its new LCV named as ‘Bada Dost’. Ashok Leyland Bada Dost is a larger version.
The earlier version ‘Dost’ which was launched in 2016 was a Joint Venture with Nissan. Ashok Leyland Bada Dost is completely built on a new platform. This project took 3 years and the company has invested around ₹.350 crore.
Ashok Leyland Bada Dost comes in 2 variants – LS and LX. All the models have the same seating of 2(Passengers)+1(Driver). The exterior colour options (Ultra Blye, Stable Grey, Casablanca White and Irish Cream) are also the same for all the variants.
Specifications
The Turbocharged inter-cooled with Lean NOx Trap (LNT) 1.5 ltr and 3 cylinder Diesel engine is built with BS-VI compliant.
The engine has a 1478 cc displacement with 80 HP @ 3300 RPM maximum power at 190 NM @ 1600-2400 RPM maximum Torque.
The gearbox is fully synchronized with 5 speed manual with cable shift transmission. AC option and the Power steering are also common for all the variants.
The body has little variations. The BADA Dost i4 version has a 50 ltr fuel tank capacity whereas the BADA Dost i3 version has 40 ltr tank capacity.
