China, in a move to show its preparedness to India at the borders, has conducted a large scale drill involving thousands of armoured vehicles and paratroopers.
Chinese media published that the drill wough was enough for India to show how strong the Chinese Army is. Earlier also, the Chinese media has published warnings to India regarding the ongoing border dispute.
The drill has come at a time when India and China have Army personnel have started negotiations as a step to de-escalate the tensions. For the past one month, the two Asian giant’s army has come to a face-to-face conflict at border.
Though there was no single bullet fired from both sides, the army personnel have been in an eye-to-eye clash mood.

On June 6th, 2020, India and China seem to be moving towards easing of tension. As a part of this, high ranking army officers of both the countries held a meeting on the Chinese side of Line of Actual Control (LAC) Moldo.
India addressed the meeting with a 10-member team led by Lt. General Harinder Singh and from the Chinese delegation was led by Major General Liu Lin.
The seven hour-long meeting between the two transpired a positive direction of talks. Both sides have agreed to de-escalate the tensions and resolve the issue at the border and build confidence in a peaceful manner. They have also agreed on further talks in a step-by-step process.
The next round of talks will be held by Brigadier and Colonel level ranking officers. China was opposing the border infra construction by India. India laid a road around Pangong TSO in Ladakh and Darbuk-Shyok-DBO.
Amid stand-off, heavy development of machinery and personnel is continuing at the borders.
