After months of proceedings, on Wednesday night Donald Trump became the third President to be Impeached in the history of the United States of America.
Donald Trump was charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. These two charges were related to the Ukraine Scandal. The main allegation is that the U.S. president has misutilized the funds along with the power to gain political ambitions. As per the deal, Trump requested Ukranian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy to interfere in the coming U.S. presidential elections 2020 against Democrats.
Basing on these, Democrats have chosen to move the Impeachment Article against Donald Trump alleging him assault of Constitution and faith of the Congress.

First, the Voting of Impeachment started in the House of Representatives where Trump’s government has no majority. Democrats voted in support of the impeachment where the process will move further to the next level. Trump lost by 230-197 votes in the House of Representatives.
In the next level, the Impeachment has to pass-through voting in the Senate where the Republicans have the majority. Republicans dominate the 100 member Senate by 53. To get impeached, Trump needs 67 votes against him. Democrats have 45 members who have the support of 2 independent members which takes the total to 47.
Going as per the current equations in the House of Senate, Trump may remain in office unless and until something odd goes against him. It is also evident that for the past 243-years of American history, no president got removed by impeachment. Hence, Trump assumes that the same will be repeated even this time.
But, however, if the Senate approves the Impeachment of Trump then the current Vice-President Mike Pence will be appointed as the next U.S. president. And further legal proceedings may be imposed on Trump.
