As per the latest reports, the COVID-19 death toll has crossed 3,00,000 globally. There are about 44,42,163 confirmed cases out of which 3,02,418 have reported deaths.
The United States tops the list for the number of deaths due to COVID-19. It has so far registered 85,898 deaths and 14,17,774 confirmed cases. United Kingdom is spotted in 2nd place in the number of COVID-19 deaths. Around 33,693 the number of people died due to this pandemic apart from the 2,34,440 confirmed cases.
Italy and France have also suffered a major loss in terms of lives. They have recorded 31,368 and 27,428 deaths respectively. Spain is just below France in death toll with 27,321 deaths.

Interestingly hugely populated countries China and India have controlled the number of deaths when compared to the far so-called developed nations like the US and the UK.
COVID-19 or the Coronavirus which has its origin in China has only 4,637 deaths only. India has so far registered only 2,649 deaths. India has 81,970 confirmed cases. India has declared lockdown and still not relaxed it.
However, Globally the infected cases are increasingly at a rapid pace, the vaccine to control it has not yet been into existence. Though some of the countries like India and Israel have claimed to find a vaccine, the authentication for those has not yet been proved.
On the other hand, the total number of recovered cases is 15,87,893. Alone in India, 27,920 have recovered from COVID-19.
Above all these indicators and reports, many claims that the figures provided by the countries cannot be taken as granted and correct.
Looking at the graph at which the Coronavirus pandemic has spread till now, the coming days cannot be visualized safe. In January 2020, the first death has been recorded in China’s Wuhan province. After that the sequence of the spread of this disease is as follows:
It took 91 days to reach 1,00,000 deaths. Just it took only a further 16 days to reach the 2,00,000 death toll. The 3,00,000 death toll mark has been reached in the next 19 days of the time span.
