Legendary Telugu Singer S.P Balasubramanyam Dead

After 50 days of struggle in hospital, Telugu legendary singer S P Balasubramanyam finally breathed his last breath at 1.04 PM today.

The well-known Telugu movie singer was admitted in the hospital at Chennai after getting Corona Positive result. He was in the hospital till date because of multiple health issues.

The death news of the singer has shocked the music world. Though he fought well with Corona, he could not fight for life with other health issues. S.P Bala Subramanyam, a name that needed no introduction in Indian Cinema as well as in the Indian Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana) and Tamilnadu got an unexpected jolt with the death news.

Just a few days back, his son S.P Charan told the media that his father was doing well and is expected to return home soon from the hospital.

S.P Balasubramanyam was admitted in MGM Hospital at Chennai on August 5, 2020. But after treatment, the hospital sources declared that he has recovered from COVID-19 by September 5, 2020. But other organs failure has resulted in his treatment continuation in the same hospital.

From then. S P Balu was on a ventilator life support. But from yesterday his health got more deteriorated and resulted in his death.

Sreepathi Pandithaaraadhyula Balasubramanyam nicknamed as S P Balu has given his voice to many in the South Indian Industry. His songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages earned him an enormous name and fame.

Not only as a singer but also as an actor, dubbing artist and character artist, S P Balu has made his own impression in the Indian film industry. He received many awards and rewards. Apart from films, he has done many popular Television shows which made him reach more closer to people. He anchored some shows and hosted as Judge for some music-related show on TV.

He received India’s highest awards – ‘Padmabhushan’, ‘Padmasri’ along with National Award as best singer. He also received NTR National Award, ‘Filmfare’ award and 8 ‘Nandi Awards’. SPB holds the Guinness World Record for recording more than 40,000 songs.

Balasubrahmanyam made his debut as a playback singer on 15 December 1966 in a Telugu movie named “Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna”. His first Kannada song was for the film “Nakkare Ade Swarga” in 1966. His first Tamil song was for the film “Hotel Ramba”.

Born on June 4, 1946, S P Balasubramanyam lived for 74 years physically till September 25, 2020. But S P Balasubramanyam will always live forever and ever in the hearts of music lovers and especially Telugu people.
