Argentina Lifts FIFA World Cup 2022 Title

Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar by defeating France in the final. People in different parts of the world celebrated Argentina’s win as if it was their own.

The 35-year-old Messi tasted bitter defeat in the 2014 final against Germany. But in his 5th and final World Cup, lead his nation to World Cup glory since 1986. Also, Lionel Messi bagged maiden FIFA World Cup title.

In the final, Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria’s strike put Argentina 2-0 ahead at half-time. Until the 70th minute, France did not have a shot.

French player Mbappe equalised with a stunning performance. This pushed the match to extra time. Despite this, France lost 4-2 on penalties and missed out on the opportunity to become the third nation in the history of the World Cup to defend the title.
