Maruti made concept debut of the S-Presso micro-SUV at the Auto Expo 2018 show. It has now launched the same in nine variants starting from Rs.3.69 lakhs.
The lower end model is priced at Rs.3.69 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the top end is priced at Rs.4.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is a 5-seater hatchback car with 3565mm (length) and 1520mm (width) dimensions. It has a 2380mm wheelbase.
Maruti S-Presso is a new entry in the micro-SUV model lineup. It is a BS6-compliant 998cc vehicle with 1.0 petrol engine that produces Max Torque of 90nm@3500rpm and Max Power of 67bhp@5500rpm. The vehicle is developed on few lines of Future-S concept.
The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency claims a mileage of 21.7 kmpl. The S-Presso is mated with a 5-level speed for both manual gears as well as AMT.
The newly launched micro-SUV which has a slot in between Maruti’s Alto K10 and Celerio, is available in 9 variants. It is expected that Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi-Go might face a good competition from S-Presso.
Same WagonR’s 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is fitted for the S-Presso top-spec variants. Apart from this, the new S-Presso gets dual air bags for driver and passenger safety. Apart from this, it gets a digital instrument cluster and power windows (only front). It comes with a Boot Space of 270 Litres.
It has got a centrally located digital instrument cluster with orange back lighting. steering-mounted audio controls makes the driver to access the entertainment easily.
Though the automobile industry has a very slow rate of growth these days, Maruti plans to push its sales with the release of budgeted vehicles. Maruti S-Presso is one that has a good scope to boost up the sales. it looks to be some what pocket friendly price when compared to other range of cars in India presently.
