An excellent batting show by both the teams has lured the cricketing fans at Hyderabad where the first TI was played between India and West Indies.
Virat Kohli, the Man of the Match has shown his best in T20I career with an unbeaten 94 runs off 50 balls which in turn helped India register a win in the 1st T20I against West Indies. India now leads 1-0 in the 3 matches T20I series of West Indies tour of India.
Batting first, West Indies after losing the toss, has posted a good total of 207 runs to defend itself. Chasing a good total India bagged a win with some of the good batting performances by Indian skipper Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
At the starting of the match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, India outplayed West Indies. In the allotted 20 years, West Indies batsmen Shimron Hetmyer (56 runs) and Evin Lewis (40 runs) helped the team in posting a tough total to win for India. BA King (31 runs), Captain KA Pollard (37 runs), JO Holder (24 runs) also contributed for a good total from West Indies.

Indian bowlers, Yuzvendra Chahal ( 2/36) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/30) have helped India in confining WI batsmen not scoring a much tough or an impossible task to chase in the T20I. Other Indian bowlers Washington Sundar (1/34), DL Chahar (1/56) also bagged some wickets for India.
However, it’s the batting performance that dominated the 1st T20I from both the teams. Indian batsmen Kohli (94 runs) and KL Rahul (62 runs) helped India in chasing a good total to defend for West Indies.
West Indies bowlers Khary Pierre (2/44), SS Cottrell (1/24) and Kieron Pollard (1/10) tried to confine India from reaching the target, but could not succeed.
The upcoming matches in the series of West Indies tour of India 2019 will be played on the 8th and 11th of this month.
