Russia Launched 75 Missiles Across Ukraine Cities, Many Dead

Russia-Ukraine War: On Monday morning, several explosions in the Shevchenskivskyi district, the centre of Ukraine’s capital, was widely shared on social media.

Air raid sirens were heard in the Ukrainian capital for more than one hour after months of relative calmness. These sirens were sounded before the blasts. The head of the Ukrainian military has confirmed these missile strikes were made by Russia.

Russian missile strikes hit the centre of Kyiv as clouds of black smoke can be seen from Monday’s early morning. The local police said that at least 5 people were killed and 12 people were wounded in the Russian missile attack.

General Valeriy Zaluzhny of Ukraine issued a statement saying

The terrorist country, Russia, has carried out massive missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, also using attack drones. In the morning, the aggressor launched 75 missiles. 41 of them were shot down by our air defence,

Ukraine’s President Zelensky said –

They (Russia) are trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the Earth,

He also added that there were many deaths and many got wounded as Russian Missiles hit the residential building and other public places.

It is to be remembered that a couple of days back, an explosion on the Kerch bridge took place. Zelensky applauded the explosion. But, Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the blast.
